I've had a lot of growth in my life over the last few years and there have been a bucket-load of things I've learned along the way, but some of the best lessons have come as I started being truly intentional about practicing gratitude in my life. It turns out, gratitude and negative thoughts cannot co-exist.
Let me say that one more time.
Gratitude and Negative Thoughts Cannot Co-Exist.
There have been times where I've doubted myself, times where I've run the risk of burning out because I was operating out of fear. There were times when I questioned my value and what I had to bring to the table. But all those stories I latched onto... they just weren't true.
So I started making a list of all that I was grateful for. I focused on the little things first, all the things I had taken for granted, and then the big things started to become clear. And those low-value thoughts I was holding onto? They started to disappear.
Today, I'm choosing to live in gratitude. How about you?
I'd love to know what you're grateful for.
